Heroes

Heroes are the driving force of your formation. They provide troops, special abilities and fighting strength. There is a fixed number of heroes in the game and they appear in a fixed order on the playing field.

Categorization of heroes

Heroes are defined by various factors that you need to know in order to use them correctly. They are divided into their quality, type and abilities. Let's look at this in detail.

Quality

The quality is divided as always into

= legendary, ssr = epic, = rare

It is not particularly advisable to invest in rare or epic heroes, as they become obsolete as the game progresses. There are a few exceptions that I will talk about later.

Hero type

The next subdivision is the hero type, here too there is a division into three.

tank = tank, = aircraft, missile = missile vehicle

At the beginning of the game you can ignore the type of hero, the selection is not large anyway and the variety only comes as the game progresses. Later in the game, the type becomes more important, as teams made up of several heroes of the same type receive certain bonuses in terms of attack power, defense power and stamina. Skills

The skills of a hero define his function within a squad. There are again three different ones.

defense = defense, attack = attack, support = support

The skills continue to define the position within the team. This will be discussed in more detail in another guide, but first of all, it should be said that defense heroes belong in the front row of the squads, attack heroes in the outer positions of the back row and support heroes should be placed in the middle of the back row.

Upgrades of heroes

Heroes can be improved in various ways and thus become stronger in battle against enemies. There are four different types of upgrades that are possible for the hero. I will describe the first three (level, military rank and ability) below. The fourth deserves an extra guide, this is the hero's equipment.

Level

There is only one direction here: up. Heroes start at level 1 and are brought up to level 150 by using experience points resource_s0_exp collected in the game. For each level of the headquarters, the heroes can be upgraded by 5 more levels. It is therefore important to improve your heroes after each upgrade of the headquarters. The quality of a hero has no influence on the amount of experience points required for the individual levels. At a later point in the game, there is the option to swap levels between heroes in order to make adjustments to heroes if necessary. There is a separate guide for this. With this option, the loss is not quite as high when improving a bad hero, as the experience points can later be transferred to a better hero.

Important: Using experience points resource_s0_exp also gives you points in the VS Alliance Duel and the Arms Race on Mondays and Thursdays. Upgrading should therefore take place on certain days and at certain times in order to get the maximum rewards.

Military rank

The military rank of a hero is also known as the star rank. Starting without stars, each hero can earn up to 5 stars, with 5 sub-steps to complete for each star. To earn one or more stars, hero shards are used. These are available in the variants "hero-specific" hero_shard_04_legendary_murphy and universal hero_shard_04_legendary_xxx , which are of equal value, but the hero shards are a little more difficult or easier to obtain for some heroes. Each star requires a different number of shards per sub-step:

Military Rank	Shards required

★★	5 * 10 = 50
★★★	5 * 20 = 100
★★★★	5 * 60 = 300
★★★★★	5 * 100 = 500

Total number of shards: 975. These can be made up of hero-specific hero_shard_04_legendary_murphy and universal shards hero_shard_04_legendary_xxx as desired.

Important: The interaction with the VS Alliance Duel is also important here. Every Thursday, the use of hero shards also gives points for the duel, so always save all your shards for Thursday.

Recommendation: Whenever a new hero appears in the game, There is an event where hero-specific shards can be purchased for relatively little money. This provides a quick boost.

Wall of Honor

When a hero reaches a military rank of 5 stars, he can be promoted further through the Wall of Honor. This is described in a separate guide.

Ability

With the military rank, your heroes have the opportunity to develop four different skills. These vary depending on the hero and I recommend reading carefully which skills you want to develop. The development of skills requires skill medals skill_medal and these are unfortunately quite difficult to obtain.

Special features

In this In this section I will show you the different characteristics of heroes that come into play at a later stage. This is sorted by heroes and you should include this information in your planning of heroes and formations now.

Violet and Scarlett

Violet and Scarlett are both very valuable. This is for several reasons. Both are more or less free and appear very early in the game. They are easy to level up and both very strong. They can be used for a very long time and can be used as a donor for a level swap when you no longer want to use them. Check out the guide.
