Gear
In this guide, I would like to introduce you to the gear of our heroes. This includes the gear itself, how we can craft it, but more importantly, how to best distribute it among our heroes. The guide will be quite long, but the topic is complex and multifaceted. I will try to present it as comprehensively as possible. Enjoy reading.
Materials
Material Workshop

The Material Workshop is essential for producing screws , which are the foundation for crafting gear. During the course of the game, up to 5 Material Workshops can be built and placed in the base. These should always be at the maximum level since a lot of material is needed to craft all gear items.
With each upgrade, two important metrics of the Material Workshop increase.
- Screw
output per hour
- Max production time
The Material Workshop operates autonomously and produces the defined number of screws per hour. These screws
must be collected regularly, as no further screws
will be produced after reaching the maximum production time until the collection is done. The production stop is indicated by a golden circle with a screw
above the affected Material Workshop.
Smelter

The Smelter is essential for producing Upgrade Ores , which are necessary for upgrading gear items. Up to 5 Smelters can be built and placed in the base during the game. These should also always be at the maximum level since Upgrade Ores
are needed even more than screws
.
With each upgrade, two important metrics of the Smelter increase.
- Upgrade Ore
output per hour
- Max production time
The Smelter operates autonomously and produces the defined number of Upgrade Ores per hour. These must - similar to the screws
- be collected regularly, as the same production stop occurs after reaching the maximum production time.
Materials, Usage, and Origin
Screw

Screws are the only components that can be produced. Screws
are needed to create Refined Iron Modules
, with 4 screws
being converted into one Refined Iron Module
. This conversion can also be reversed, but it has no practical use.
Refined Iron Module

Like the screw , the Refined Iron Module
has no practical use; it is only used to create Superalloys
(4 Refined Iron Modules
= 1 Superalloy
). Refined Iron Modules
can be obtained in various ways:
By combining four screws , as a reward for various activities, by dismantling green (uncommon) gear items, or by dismantling Superalloys
(1 Superalloy
= 4 Refined Iron Modules
)
Superalloy

The Superalloy is the first material with a real purpose. It is necessary for crafting rare gear items and resin
(4 Superalloys
= 1 Resin
). Superalloys
can be obtained in a similar way like Refined Iron Modules
:
By combining four Refined Iron Modules , as a reward for various activities, by dismantling blue (rare) gear items, or by dismantling Resin
(1 Resin
= 4 Superalloys
)
- VIP Shop: 100 pieces/week, each for 6 diamonds
- Alliance Shop: 100 pieces/week, each for 50 alliance points
Resin

Resin is used to craft epic gear items and dielectric ceramics
(4 Resins
= 1 Dielectric Ceramic
). Resins
can be obtained as follows:
By combining four Superalloys , as a reward for various activities, by dismantling purple (epic) gear items, or by dismantling Dielectric Ceramics
(1 Dielectric Ceramic
= 4 Resins
)
- VIP Shop: 100 pieces/week, each for 16 diamonds
- Alliance Shop: 70 pieces/week, each for 200 alliance points
- Zombie Invasion Event Store: 300 pieces/event, each for 8 courage medals
Dielectric Ceramic

Dielectric Ceramic is the most important material. It is used to craft orange (legendary) gear items. This is also the highest-grade material and cannot be further improved. There are again similar ways to obtain Dielectric Ceramics
:
By combining four Resins , as a reward for various activities, or by dismantling orange (legendary) gear items - although this does not make sense.
- VIP Shop: 50 pieces/week, each for 64
- Alliance Shop: 20 pieces/week, each for 800 alliance points
- Campaign Shop: 200 pieces/week, each for 300 quest honor points
- Honor Shop: 100 pieces/month, each for 800 honor points
Upgrade Ores

Upgrade Ores are used to upgrade various gear items. There are different ways to obtain them.
Production in the Smelter, dismantling already upgraded gear items (refund), as a reward for various activities.
- VIP Shop: 1500 pieces/week, each for 4 diamonds
- Campaign Shop: 10 * 1000 pieces/week, each for 300 quest honor points
- Zombie Invasion Event Store: 100 * 50 pieces/event, each for 100 courage medals
Use of Materials and Production

Besides the Material Workshop and the Smelter, the Gear Factory is the most important building in the production of gear. The Gear Factory has four functions, which can be selected via the tabs at the top.
Disintegrate

In this section, the various materials from the above section can be disintegrated, i.e., their quality reduced and their quantity increased. It is important to understand that the value does not really change here. The process is losslessly reversible. The above-mentioned rules for dismantling apply: Always 1 element of higher quality is dismantled into 4 elements of lower quality.
Merge
This is the reverse of disintegration. Here, 4 elements of lower quality are converted into 1 element of higher quality.
Dismantle

In this tab, all gear that is not currently assigned to a hero is displayed and can be dismantled into its components.
Warning: Gear that has been fully crafted but has not yet been given to a hero is included here. If you remove gear from your heroes (for whatever reason), it will also appear here and will be dismantled without question as soon as you press the blue "Dismantle" button.
Note: Upgrade Ores used in gear items will be fully refunded when dismantling.
Craft
Gear Items
There are four types of gear items that can be produced in three different qualities:
Quality | Weapon | Armor | Chip | Radar |
---|---|---|---|---|
rare | ![]() ![]() |

![]() ![]() |
epic | ![]() ![]() |

Costs
Here are the costs per gear item. Only the quality of the item affects the cost:
rare: 40 Superalloys + 4,900 Gold
epic: 15 Resins + 99,000 Gold
legendary: 750 Dielectric Ceramics + 495,000 Gold
Production Time
The production time of an gear item depends on its quality. The higher the quality, the longer it takes. Various factors influence the time, such as Alliance Technology research, the VIP bonus, and various bonuses from the Survivors assigned to the Gear Factory.
Gear Upgrades
Each gear item can be improved in various ways, such as by item level or star level. Different materials are required, and the upgrade types build upon each other.
Since all upgrades require the same materials — Gold and Upgrade Ores
— it makes no sense to upgrade inferior gear (rare, epic). This should be reserved for legendary gear; accordingly, this section only refers to legendary items.
Item Level of Gear (0 to 40)
Each gear item leaves the Gear Factory at level 0. By paying an ever-increasing amount of Gold and Upgrade Ores
, the item can be upgraded to level 40.
Note: Upgrades should always be done in increments of 10, as there are additional bonuses at levels 10, 20, 30, and 40. For example, an increase in resistance to energy damage by 10%.
Star Level of Gear (0 to 5)
Once an gear item reaches level 40 and the Gear Factory reaches level 20, further improvements can be made. These improvements also require Gold and Upgrade Ores
, as well as Dielectric Ceramics
and legendary
or mythical blueprints
.
Blueprints can either be purchased or exchanged for honor points in the Honor Shop.
The following table shows the resources needed to perform the upgrade for each star.

Assignment to Your Heroes
The crafting and assignment of gear to your heroes should follow a few simple rules.
Rule 1
We focus only on legendary gear. A legendary level 0 item is better than an epic level 40 item!
Rule 2
We focus first on defense, then on attack, and then on support.
Rule 3
We always assign gear based on a sequence.
Sequence | ![]() |

Rule 4
We first assign gear to Squad 1, then to Squad 2, and then to Squad 3. Unused gear can be removed from Squad 1 and assigned to another Squad.
Conclusion
It’s done. I hope you can make use of this guide despite its length. Feel free to return here to read something again or to refresh your memory.
Enjoy the day and check back in.
