Alliance Duel

The Alliance Duel is the most important permanent event in the game. The first Alliance Duel takes place starting from week 2 of the server and will accompany us until the end of the game. Therefore, it is important to understand this event thoroughly and make as few mistakes as possible. The opponent of the duel is assigned on Sunday afternoon. The duel always starts on Monday after the server reset and lasts until the end of the day on Saturday. Each day, there are different disciplines to complete to collect duel points. The daily winner receives a defined number of duel points. The alliance that has the most points by Saturday evening wins the duel.

There are many different ways to influence the course of the duel, and in the individual guides, I give hints on how an activity can impact the duel. In this guide, you will find the complete compilation and many links to the corresponding guides to get more details. The duel should always be processed together with the Arms Race event, as there are many overlaps that I will address later.

This will be quite a comprehensive guide, so take your time, or check back here on the respective weekdays to ensure you have all the important information for the day.

Basics

Alliance Duel

By clicking on the VS symbol on the right side of the screen, you will be taken to the overview page of the current duel. In the upper area, you will find the current status of the day, with your own alliance always displayed on the left and the opposing alliance on the right.

Below that, you can see the daily points and the MVPs (most valuable player).

Directly below, you can see the weekly points that decide the weekly victory. The alliance that first reaches 7 points wins the duel. There are a maximum of 13 weekly points to be earned.

The area below the weekly points shows the individual days of the duel, how many weekly points can be earned for each day's victory, who won, and who was the MVP of that day. By clicking on the respective days, you will get more information, such as the tasks of the day and how many points each alliance earned on that day.

In the following sections, I will give you an overview of the relevant research, item gathering, and item usage in the duel. I will also show you the rewards for the duel.

I will not cover information about the Warzone Duel or the league system here.

Research

Research Center
Research

At the start of the first duel, a new branch will appear in the research center. This branch is called Alliance Duel and has many important research points for the weekly duel. The goal is to get this branch to 100% as quickly as possible. On the one hand, this will unlock additional reward chests, and on the other hand, it will significantly increase the number of points you receive per activity for the duel.

Note: If someone tells you that you should only do research for the Alliance Duel on Wednesdays because of the bonus points for spending valor badges, please ignore this. The faster you finish this research branch, the faster you will earn significantly more points in the duel — and thus more rewards and more victories.

Research

Below, you will find the optimal sequence to work through the alliance research tree to quickly reach the 9 reward chests. Please follow this order exactly.

At the end of Season 1 on the server, the tree will be expanded with four new researches. It is recommended to increase all four new researches by one level at a time until the maximum level is reached. The four new elements are:

With 100% completed research during the preseason (Day 0 to Day 120) and Season 1 (Day 120 to Day 178), all points will be doubled (with a few exceptions).

With 100% completed research during Season 2, the points will triple based on the base points (again, with exceptions).

Gathering

Throughout the week, there are many items you receive as rewards from battles and events. Many of these should not be used immediately but saved for the Alliance Duel to use on specific days. Here’s a list of all the items you need to gather:

Other things you should definitely do during the week include upgrading buildings without unwrapping them (gift wrapping), continuous research, and constantly gathering resources from gold mines, iron mines, and fields. Additionally, you should only level up your heroes on the respective days, so also save your EXP points.

Coordination with the Arms Race

Arms Race
Arms Race

In the upcoming section, which details the task packages for each day of the week, I will refer to time overlaps with the Arms Race. This means that certain activities should be carried out not only on specific days but also at specific times to earn points for both the Alliance Duel and the Arms Race.

To do this, go to Events, then to the Arms Race (the far-left tab), and click on the calendar symbol on the left side. This will open the calendar and show you the times when points are available for the respective activities in the Arms Race.

Important: The times shown are adjusted to local time, so I can’t include them in the schedule below. You’ll need to check them in your game. The good news: it’s the same every week.

Today's Topic

If you want to see the task list for the current day in the game, click on the VS button on the right side of the screen, then go to the "Today's Theme" tab as shown in the image on the right.

In the upcoming sections, I will provide a detailed task list for each day of the week. This will look different from what you see in the game because the task lists here already include all the special features and tips. Additionally, the list here will include Sunday and show the corresponding preparations for the following day.

Let’s start the week on a Sunday.

Rewards

Chest Rewards

The more points you collect in the day, the more reward chests you can open. The number of chests you can open depends on your research. Without research, there are three chests; with the corresponding research, then 6 or 9 chests. The following list shows the rewards of the individual chests and the number of required duel points to open them. The chests reset every day, meaning you can open each chest 6 times per week.

Best of luck for all your duels
