Survivors
This guide is intended to give you a brief overview of the survivors. After we learned how to recruit survivors in the previous Guide to Recruitment, I would like to show you the other ways to save survivors and, more importantly, how you can use and develop them. So let's get started.
Other ways to get survivors
There are three other ways to get survivors:
Radar missions
When completing radar missions, you will sometimes find a survivor. Once the radar mission completes you will find them in front of your base. Simply tap them and they are recruited.
The Doomsday
This is a recurring event in game. During the event we are tasked with killing Doom Walkers. The event provides mission based rewards and if all missions are completed you will received three rare , three epic
and one legendary survivor
.
Unexpected
Every now and then a survivor will simply stand in front of your base. Unfortunately, I have not yet found out why or where they come from. But a simple tap is enough to recruit them too.
VIP Package
With the VIP packages, you have the option of bringing two more survivors into your team. Agent Shirley and adventurer Taylor. Both are quite expensive but are the only staff at headquarters. Please check the guide for the VIP Package for more details.
Where can I see my survivors?

All survivors can be seen in the Talent Hall. The view in the Talent Hall is split in two. The tab called "All" shows us the survivors in the overall view. The "Deploy" tab shows a list of all buildings to which survivors can be sent. More on this later in the "Survivors deployment" section.
In the overall view, each survivor is shown with their name, profession, quality, star rank and sending status. Survivors that you do not yet own are also shown there and display how many shards are still needed to receive them.
How do I promote my survivor?
Survivors of epic and legendary quality can be promoted. This improves the bonuses they give to your base or the individual buildings. The bonus can only be received if the survivor has also been assigned to the building. More on this later. Up to 4 survivors can be assigned to each building. The bonuses add up accordingly.
Promotions take place in a star system, comparable to the promotions of your heroes' military rank. A rank of 5 stars can be achieved, each star has 5 levels, so we can promote a survivor 25 times. The promotions become more expensive from level to level and from star to star. A promotion always requires two items. Firstly, the survivor-specific shard, and secondly a survivor token .
You get the shards from Recruitment. The tokens are also available there, but you can also buy them in the Alliance Store. There are 2,500 pieces available every week for 4 alliance points each.
The following table shows you how many shards and tokens you need for the promotions:
Promotion level | Shards required | Tokens required |
---|---|---|
★ | 5 * 5 = 25 | 15 + 30 + 45 + 60 + 150 = 300 |
★★ | 5 * 10 = 50 | 180 + 210 + 240+ 270 + 300 = 1.200 |
★★★ | 5 * 20 = 100 | 600 + 700 + 800 + 900 + 1000 = 4,000 |
★★★★ | 5 * 30 = 150 | ? |
★★★★★ | ? | ? |
The promotion itself is very simple. Select a survivor and tap the button to increase the star level.
What types of survivors are there?
Let's now take a closer look at the different survivors. In the following table you will find all the professions listed and information about which building the survivors are sent to. Each survivor brings with them a fixed bonus that increases with the quality of the survivor.
In addition, the epic and legendary quality survivors also have a variable bonus. This depends on the survivor's promotions. Each of the up to 25 possible promotions result in a higher variable bonus.

Survivors Deployment
If you tap the second tab in the talent hall in the game, you will see the building overview of your base and which survivors are working in which building. At the very bottom you will find a button "Quick Dispatch". Tapping this will send the most advanced survivors to the corresponding buildings. If necessary, the least advanced survivors will also be sent back to the tavern.
Note: if you still see red dots on buildings after the quick dispatch, it means that you have one or more survivors who can be promoted using existing tokens. Open the building in the list and look for the survivor(s) with the green promotion arrow.
Quick Dispatch works well as long as you don't have any special circumstances. However, there are a few special cases where you may want to carry out the deployment yourself.
If you have two research centers, it makes sense to equip the first research center with the best survivors, while the second research center with the poorer survivors This will give you a quick research center for longer research and one for shorter research.
It also makes sense to fill the barracks that train the highest troop category with the better survivors.
There are too many variants to list them all here but I hope I gave you some ideas.
Therefore I leave you now and hope you now have a better picture of the survivors.
