Game Settings
In this guide I want to explain the game's settings to you. We will go through all the settings and show what they do exactly. Please note that this may change over time. I'm showing the status of game version 1.0.256 here.
How do I get to the settings?
You can open the settings by tapping your profile picture at the top left and then the "Settings" gear.
Main screen

On the main screen you can see the server time at the top, the game version at the bottom right and the various settings areas in between.
Below you will find a section for each settings area.
General Settings

Graphics Quality
Here you can set the quality of the graphics from "Low" over "Medium" to "High". Especially if you are using an older phone or an emulator on your computer, it is recommended to reduce the quality a little, especially for graphic-intensive events, in order to avoid any loss of performance.
Performance Settings
This setting activates or deactivates the energy saving mode, which reduces the performance and background activities of the game.
Audio settings
Here you can activate or deactivate the game sounds (SFX), background music (BGM), vibration and the acoustic warning in the event of an enemy attack.
Chat settings
With this setting you can turn off the display of the VIP level in the chat.
Notification settings
In this area you can activate or deactivate various in-game notifications.
The Diamond Spending Notification gives you a security check in the game as to whether you really want to spend diamonds on a purchase or not.
The Score Reminders of the Arms Race and the Alliance Duel are showing the "trams" whenever you earn points for the respective events and indicate how many more points you need to rech the next reward level.
Settings
The confirmation for completing the construction shows a security check when unpacking completed buildings and extensions, as these should not be accidentally unpacked on the wrong day of the week with reference to the Alliance Duel.
The option to shake to collect resources can be activated or deactivated here. Please note that this function only works with VIP level 8 or headquarters level 24.
Empty cache
The cache is a collection of saved game data on your phone. In the event of unexpected behavior or poor game performance (of the game, not the player), the game memory can be emptied here. This will restart the game and download certain game data from the Internet.
Delete account
This function allows you to delete the entire account including all characters. This should therefore be used with caution. This only works if all troops on all characters are back in the base.
Language

In this area you can set your language. This not only affects the display of all game elements, but also the language in which you see text in the chat after you have tapped the translation button for a message.
Note: In the chat you can translate messages from any language into the language set here. The game uses translations from the DeepL Translator for this purpose. When translating, the content can easily be misinterpreted. So try to avoid misunderstandings in the chat. Use simple language so that the translation is understandable for the person you are talking to and a bad translation does not lead to an argument.
Copy the ID
With this function you can copy the ID of your account to your phone's clipboard. This is useful if you contact support or want to redeem a gift code, for example.
Customer service
Tapping this point will redirect you to the game's customer service. Here you will find some information, a FAQ, the possibility to report errors or solve problems with the account or billing.
Flag

Here you can set the flag which hangs on the flagpole of your headquarters and is visible in the chat at the bottom right of your profile picture. Please note that this has no influence on the language settings.
Notifications

With these settings you can activate or deactivate notifications. These are not in-game notifications, but notifications that are sent to your phone if you are not online in the game and one of the corresponding events occurs.
Important: You must allow notifications from the game on your phone for this to actually work.
Also important: Notifications are only sent for the currently logged in character. So if you are waiting for a capitol buff and rely on the notification, you must not switch to another character and play there, otherwise you will wait in vain for the notification.
The individual notifications are very well described in the game's settings, so I will not list them individually here.
Block list
In the chat you have the option of blocking other players. This means you will no longer receive messages from them in the chat. This is quite easy to do by tapping on the profile picture of another player in the chat and tapping the "Block" option in the lower part of the profile. This will put the player on your block list.
In this area of the settings you have the option to see who is on your block list and to remove individual people from the block list. Please note that there was a reason why you put a person on the block list, even if you can no longer remember the reason now.
New game
Voice-Over

With this point you select the acoustic language that your heroes speak in the game. The selection here is somewhat more limited.
Delete character
With this entry you can irrevocably delete the currently registered character. If you want to delete a character other than the one logged on, you must first switch to it via the character management.
Privacy policy & terms of service
These two points take you to the game's website and show you the relevant documents there.
Respond to / Ignore all-out Attack
During various events in the game, an R4/R5 can initiate an all-out attack. This orders troops from offline players into battle. With this option you can activate or deactivate whether or not you want to take part in such all-out attacks in the event of absence. The function of this point is a little difficult to understand, as only the text under the menu item changes. If you want to adjust this, pay attention to the text on the main page.
User noted
In the game you have the option of assigning a different display name to a player. To do this, go to the player profile, click on the three dots to the right of the name and enter a new name for the player in the Note Name field. The maximum length of the new name is 20 characters. If you save this name now, this player will be displayed with his new name from the next time you restart the game. His base will be renamed, you will see him with the new name in the chat and you will also see the new name on his profile page.
Note: Only you will see this new name - all other players will still see the affected game with his real name.
In this area of the settings you can delete assigned notes.
I hope I have given you a good overview of the settings and shown you one or two new things.
