Count Master

Today I have a short guide for you explaining the "Count Master" event. This is a recurring event in the game that has been changed several times in the past and I hope that this version will last for a while.

What is the event about?

This event comes in two different modes, but it no longer matters which of the two modes you play, as the rewards have been reduced in past updates of the game. Let's take a closer look at the two game modes:

Casual Mode

In Casual Mode you are matched with 29 other players and are tasked with guiding your soldier through various mathematical tasks by moving him either left or right on the street. You should choose the side that will give you either the greatest increase or the least loss of points in the upcoming math problem.

You can see your current score displayed in green at the top left of the playing field. Of course, you always have to keep an eye on it or remember it in order to solve the next task. The battle consists of two rounds of 4, with the first four rounds consisting of a simple math problem and the second four rounds consisting of double math problems. After the 8th round, you will be run over by a bus full of zombies, which will reduce your points.

If you fall below zero points during the game, you have lost. If you have more than 0 points at the end, you have survived the fight. If you have reached the target score in the fight, which was displayed to you after the initial matching, you have completed a perfect round. In the past, this was important for the rewards. Unfortunately, this was removed some time ago.

Match mode

Match mode works in a similar way, but there are only 19 players. The goal here is not to get a certain number of points, but to survive the longest, i.e. not to fall below a score of 0. If you fall below this, you are automatically eliminated. The number of rounds in competition mode is not limited, but you fight until the last soldier has succumbed to his mathematical abilities.

This improves your rank. The rank is used twice. Firstly in the alliance ranking, and secondly in the server ranking.

Rewards

The rewards for this event are quite simple. The first three participations in the event give rewards, regardless of which mode was played in. So you have to take part at least three times and get at least 1 point in casual mode or survive the first round in match mode. Both are quite easy. Here are the rewards:

Tips for the math problems

The math problems are always based on the current score, which you can see in green at the top right. At the start of the game, this is always 100 and you should always keep the current score in mind. The math problems are actually simple, but here are a few explanations anyways.

There are always two math problems available. These are always an addition, a subtraction, a division or a multiplication and you have to quickly decide which one you choose based on your score in order to increase it as much as possible or reduce it as little as possible. Additions and multiplications have a blue background, subtractions and divisions have a red background.

The math problems also differ in their depth. There are those with just one calculation or several calculations in a row. In casual mode, a maximum of two calculations, in match mode up to 3.

Simple calculations

Both tasks red

Example 1: Score: 600

- 200
/ 2

400
300

Example 2: Score: 300

-2 00
/ 2

100
150

Both tasks blue

Example 1: Score: 600

+ 200
+ 300

800
900

Example 2: Score: 300

- 200
/ 2

100
150

One Blue and One Red Task

Example 1: Score: 100

+ 100
/ 2

200
50

Example 2: Score: 3800

- 100
* 2

3700
7600

Double and multiple arithmetic operations

With multiple arithmetic operations, the one that is reached first is always carried out first. In the examples here, the order of the calculation is from bottom to top. Grouping by color makes little sense when performing multiple calculations, so let's just go back to calculating based on the respective score.

Example 1: Score: 2400

+ 2000
* 2

* 2
+ 2000

6800
9600

You can see here that the order of the calculation makes a big difference.

Example 2: Score: 500

+ 500
/ 2

* 3
+ 4000

2000
2250

This example shows that a red math problem does not always result in a loss of points. These are the more intense tasks based on the short time available.

Example 3: Score: 950

- 200
/ 2

/ 2
- 200

275
375

This constellation occurs quite often in the game, you don't really need to do any calculations here, the side with subtraction as the first calculation is our winner.

Example 4: Score: 600

+ 200
/ 2

/ 2
* 3

- 100
- 200

750
600

This example shows the complexity later in the competition mode. Here I can only recommend that you keep the current score in mind and carry out the various calculations as quickly as possible.

Have fun calculating
