Drone Skill Chips and Combat Boost
This guide describes the new system for drone skill chips and combat progress. The system has been completely reworked in the game and makes this new guide necessary. If the update has not yet taken place on your server, you can find the original guide for the old drone skill chip system here. If you are currently in the process of switching, here is a short guide on how to switch from the old to the new system.
Introduction
As already described in the guide to the tactical drone, there are various ways to upgrade the drone. You have already seen some of them in the previous guide. This guide is about Combat Boost, which unlocks up to four different sets for use with your formations and increases the bonus level of your skill chips. It also covers the Skill Chips themselves, what they are, where you get them and what they do for your drone.
Combat Boost
You can find the Combat Boost page in the game by tapping on your drone center and selecting the "Combat Boost" tab. Combat Boost is a level-based system that has several tasks. Starting at level 0, it can be expanded up to level 750.

Unlocking the Drone Skills Chip System
When you reach level 10 in Combat Boost, the Drone Skills Chip System is unlocked.
Unlocking the Drone Skills Chip Sets
Skill chips can be combined into up to four sets, which are assigned to up to four garages for use. For example, you can build an aircraft-specific set and assign it to the garage in which the aircraft heroes are located. If there is only one set, all garages use the same set, which means the use of the skill chips is greatly limited. It is therefore advisable to unlock further sets as quickly as possible, or until this is achieved, to concentrate on the skill chips that correspond to the type of the strongest formation.
The sets are unlocked at combat progress levels 10, 150, 300 and 450.
Increase in the Skill Chip bonus level
When you reach Combat Boost levels 150, 300, 450, 600 and 750, the Skill Chip bonus level is increased by 1 each time. Once reached, this is applied to all drone skill chips in use.
Increasing the Combat Boost level
On the main Combat Boost page, you can increase your Combat Boost with various materials. The following materials are used:
Drone Combat Boost Exp Card (100 points)
Drone Combat Boost Exp Card (10,000 points)
uncommon Skill Chip of the type Initial Move skill type (400 points)
uncommon Skill Chip of the other types (200 points)
rare Skill Chip of the type Initial Move skill type (4,000 points)
rare Skill Chip of the other types (2,000 points)
epic Skill Chip of the type Initial Move skill type (40,000 points)
epic Skill Chip of the other types (20,000 Points)
To see where you can get the individual components, please look further down in this guide in the "Components" section.
You can select the individual materials you want to use for an upgrade yourself by tapping the “Plus” button, or you can have materials automatically selected by tapping the “Quick Add” button. With each change you can immediately see how your combat progress will change with the selected materials. The adjustment is carried out by tapping the “Promote” button.
Note: If increasing the combat progress does not result in an increase in level, the combat power of the drone remains unchanged.
Skill Chips
What are skill chips?
Skill chips are extensions for your drone that not only increase certain attributes such as HP, Def or Attack, but also grant very specific bonuses with which you can upgrade heroes. There are a total of 32 different skill chips and you can even make some of them yourself, more on that later. Let's first look at the division and function of the individual chips.
Quality / rarity
The quality or rarity of the chips is divided into four categories, and there are quite some differences.
Uncommon and rare ability chips come from the corresponding chip chests and cannot be made yourself. Their function is quite simple and applies to all hero types.
Epic and legendary chips also come from the corresponding chip chests, but they can also be made in the chip lab. In addition, they can be expanded, increasing the effect of their functions. Their function is somewhat more complex and always designed for a specific hero type, which is why they come in more variants than the uncommon or rare chips.
Even if we should focus on the legendary chips, the lower qualities also have a right to exist. They can still be used to increase the Combat Boost level.
Type of chip

Furthermore, the skill chips are divided into their type. There are four different types with different functions. The types of chips can be recognized by their symbol in the upper left corner.
Initial Move Skill (drone symbol) in the middle
- Epic: At the beginning of the battle, your Tank/Aircraft/Missile Vehicle heroes gain a Shield with a fixed value of X, lasting Y seconds.
- Legendary: At the beginning of the battle, your Tank/Aircraft/Missile Vehicle heroes gain a Shield with a fixed value of X for Y seconds. Once it's gone, all damage received is reduced by Z until battle ends
Attack Skill (bullet symbol) at the top
- Epic: When the Drone bombs, your Tank/Aircraft/Missile Vehicle heroes gain X Attack boost, lasting Y seconds.
- Legendary: When the Drone bombs, your Tank/Aircraft/Missile Vehicle heroes gain X Attack boost, lasting Y seconds. The drone bombing hits Z more targets).
Interference Skill (lightning symbol) at the bottom left
- Epic: When the Drone bombs, your back row Tank/Aircraft/Missile Vehicle heroes get a X Damage Increase for Y seconds.
- Legendary: When the Drone bombs, your back row Tank/Aircraft/Missile Vehicle heroes get a X Damage increase, at the same time, reduce the damage of all enemy Tactics by Y for Z seconds.
Defense Skill (shield symbol) at the bottom right
- Epic: At the beginning of the battle, your front row Tank/Aircraft/ Missile vehicle heroes gain X Defense boost for Y seconds.
- Legendary: At the beginning of the battle, your Tank/Aircraft/Missile Vehicle heroes gain X Defense boost, your front row gains an extra Y Defense boost until the battle ends.
Hero type
While the uncommon and rare skill chips can be used regardless of the hero type, the epic and legendary skill chips have additional bonuses for specific hero types. Each chip is available in a version for tanks, aircraft and missile vehicles.
Arrangement of skill chips per formation
On the skill chips page in the drone center, you can create up to four sets of chips and assign them to the desired formation. Please note that the first set is basically free, and the other sets only become available after reaching the corresponding Combat Boost levels. The procedure is simple, select the appropriate set (1 - 4), select a corresponding chip for each of the 4 chip types and use the button at the bottom left to assign this set to one of your formations.
Ascending skill chips

By tapping a skill chip in the drone center, you will be taken to the chip's detail page. Here, in addition to the most important information about the chip, various actions are available.
You can use the red button to remove the chip or the blue button to exchange the chip for another one.
Much more important than this, is the large blue button labeled "Ascend". With this you can change the star rank of your chip and thus significantly increase its combat power by fusing the chip with several other chips of the same type. With each fusing, the chip receives an additional star, with the first 5 stars being legendary and the remaining 5 stars being mythical.
With each star earned, the number of chips required to achieve the fusing to the next star increases.
Note: The option to ascend chips only exists with epic and legendary chips.

The Chip Lab

From headquarters level 5 there is now a new building with the task of producing epic and legendary drone ability chips yourself. The Chip Lab. There is a requirement for the level of the chip lab for each of the different drone skill chips, which means you should upgrade this building to at least level 20 in order to be able to produce all skill chips yourself.
Here is a list of the required levels:
- Chip laboratory level 0: For epic drone skill chips of the first movement ability type
- Chip laboratory level 5: For epic drone skill chips of the other types
- Chip laboratory level 15: For legendary drone skill chips of the first movement ability type
- Chip laboratory level 20: For legendary drone skill chips of the other Types
After you have opened the chip lab, you will see two tabs at the bottom: "Craft" and "Inventory". It is self-explanatory what this means. Let's take a look at the manufacture.
In the middle we find three buttons for selecting the type of chip we want to manufacture. Tank, aircraft or rocket vehicle. Directly below, we see the Drone Skill Chip types available for selection. These are divided into four chip variants: "Initial Move", "Attack", "Interference" and "Defense" and are each available in epic and legendary versions.
By tapping the respective chip, you will see the description of the chip at the top and you will see both the cost of the chip and the production time at the bottom of the screen. By tapping the "Craft" button, production begins. The production time is 10 seconds and then you can collect the chip.
The cost of legendary chips is 800 premium chip materials , regardless of the type of chip. For the epic chips, the "Initial Move Skill" type costs 800 and all other types 400 basic chip materials
.
