Season 1 - Professions
Just shortly before the start of season 1, we can finally get a job. This article will guide you through the available jobs and how to master them.
Profession Hall

The Profession Hall is a new building designed to choose and develop a profession. The building itself has a maximum level of 1 and cannot be upgraded. This building becomes available on day 90 and should be placed in the base immediately.
Right after constructing the Profession Hall, you can select a profession. Currently, you can choose between the Engineer and Warlord professions, and in the future, the Diplomat will be added as a new profession.
Before you immediately select a profession, please read the entire guide to make the right decision. While you can change your profession later, this involves some effort and inconvenience—so the first shot should count.
Selecting a Profession

After you have placed the Profession Hall and clicked on it, you will see the profession overview page with the three available professions. The Diplomat is not yet available and is therefore locked. Click on the individual professions to get more details about them directly in the game. Once you choose a profession, you will only be able to change it much later. For those in a hurry to select a profession without reading too much:
The Engineer is the right choice if you want to develop faster but are willing to forego the special combat abilities of the Warlord. This is the recommended profession for players who do not yet have T10 troops.
The Warlord, on the other hand, is the right choice if you already have T10 troops.
Profession Level

After selecting a profession, just like in real life, you often have no idea what you're doing. You're at Level 0. The goal for the upcoming season is to reach Level 40. At various levels, you have the opportunity to unlock profession skills and learn or enhance them by using skill points. So our first step is to increase the profession level.
This can be done easily by
- Killing monsters on the world map
- Occupying cities within the season (starting on Day 120)
- Upgrading season-specific buildings
- Usage of books with profession EXP
Each time you increase your profession level, there is a chance to earn skill points, which can be used to learn or enhance the corresponding skills.
Profession Skills
After reaching the first or every fifth profession level, certain skills are unlocked. Using skill points, these can then be learned or improved. It is not recommended to immediately maximize the first available skills, but rather to take a close look at all the skills first in order to prioritize the most important ones. The necessary points should be available when unlocking them.
In the following section "Professions," you will find a list of all skills per profession. These are divided into two categories: profession-specific and season-specific. It should be noted that the season-specific skills will be removed at the end of the season, as there will be different skills for Season 2. The skill points invested in these will be fully refunded and will be available again.

In the professions view, you will find at the top how many skill points you can assign. To assign points, simply click on the corresponding skill and then on the appropriate button.
Note: also check your inventory; skill points will appear there from time to time, which you must use from your inventory before they become available in the Profession Hall.
The Professions
Engineer

Here you can see the Engineer's skill tree. Since it is already visible in the game, I will not go into detail about the individual skills here, you can read all of that directly in the game. However, a brief explanation is still provided.
The two left columns with the white-grey background show the Engineer's profession-specific skills. The right column with the green background shows the season-specific skills. These are independent of the profession—the Warlord has the same season-specific skills as the Engineer.
However, I would like to recommend some highlights so that you can fully exploit the Engineer's development potential.
The following list prioritizes certain skills. Learn and enhance your skill tree in the following order.
- Fast Production (Level 1)
- Exceptional Contribution (Level 1)
- Combat Experience (Level 1)
- Extra Meal (Level 5)
- Building Inspiration I (Level 5)
- Build Now (Level 15)
- Research Now (Level 15)
- Build For Free (Level 10)
- Research For Free (Level 10)
- Infection Spread (Level 10)
- Healing Expert (Level 15)
- Cooperative Construction (Level 30)
- Cooperative Research (Level 30)
- Double Exchange (Level 20)
- Resource Saving (Level 35)
- Recycling (Level 35)
Warlord

I still need a few days for the Warlord—so check back later.
Diplomat
Currently not available, so there is only a placeholder here.
Usage of Professional Skills

The skills you learn for your profession are either passive (you don’t have to do anything) or active (you have to do something). The active skills are always associated with a cooldown period, meaning you can only use them, for example, every 48 hours. Therefore, it’s important to keep an eye on this and at least check once a day to see if you can or want to use one or more of the active skills.
My recommendation: always do this at the same time of day and use the skills whenever possible to avoid wasting them.
You can view the skills by clicking on your Profession Hall and then on the white book with a blue background. After that, you’ll see all the skills you’ve acquired and whether you can currently execute them or not.
Profession Change and Skill Reset

There is the option to reset the learned skills. For this, you will need a "Profession Skill Reset Book," which is available in the season shop for 10 season points. Also the season battle pass will provide this. All skill points that have been invested so far will be refunded by mail and can be redistributed.
Important: This can only be done a maximum of 5 times per season.

Changing professions is also possible and requires a "Profession Certificate Change." This is also available in the season shop and costs 50 season points. Alternatively it can be found in the season battle pass as well. When changing professions, the skill tree is also reset, and the invested skill points are refunded.
In order to perform the change of pression, click on you profession hall, then on the profession change button at the bottom right. Then select the new profession and click the blue button.
Important: Profession changes are limited as well. They can be done up to twice per season.
Summary
In the Profession Hall, a profession can be selected. This profession can be improved from Level 0 to Level 40 through in-game activity. As the level increases, skills are unlocked, which can be learned and improved with skill points. It is possible to reset your skills up to 5 times per season and change your profession twice per season. For players without T10 troops, the Engineer profession should be selected, while for players with T10 troops, the Warlord profession is recommended.
With this, I have reached the end of the profession guide for now. I hope I could provide some valuable information, and I will update the guide in the coming days to bring it up to date with the missing details.
