Season 1 - Wish Hero
With Day 11 of Season 1, a new feature for recruiting heroes is introduced: the so-called Wish Hero. This new feature allows us to recruit some of the heroes we hadn’t recruited before the start of the season without needing to make a financial investment. I’d like to explain this new feature to you in more detail here.
Which heroes can I wish for?
Unfortunately, not all. There is a selection option that provides you with the following heroes:
I already have all of them, now what?
Congratulations, starting the season with all UR heroes is very good. However, selecting the Wish Hero is still important because we don’t receive the hero itself when recruiting but rather the hero shards. While the first 10 hero shards of a specific hero are necessary for obtaining them, additional shards are useful for increasing the hero's military rank and further strengthening them in the Hall of Honor.
It will therefore take a long time until we no longer need hero shards. In this case, choose the hero you want to upgrade to five stars ★★★★★ or promote in the Hall of Honor. Please also take a look at the guide to heroes for more information.
Okay, how do I choose my Wish Hero?
Simply go to the page for recruiting heroes. You’ll now see a redesigned screen, which may show Murphy but Williams depending on the server. However, it doesn’t matter who’s displayed there; what’s important is that you see a progress bar in the middle that goes up to 200. To the right of it, the selected Wish Hero is shown.
To adjust the hero, simply click on it and select one of the heroes mentioned above on the next screen, then confirm.
And then?
It's simple: start recruiting as usual by using legendary recruitment tickets 
. This will gradually fill the progress bar from 0 to 200.
Once you’ve completed 200 recruitments, you’ll see a red dot on the chosen hero. Click on it, and you’ll be guaranteed to receive 10 hero shards of the Wish Hero, allowing you to unlock them.
Note: During the time it takes to perform the recruitement 200 times, you are still able to change your Wish Hero. Only on the 200th recruitment it has to match.
Recruiting also has a certain low chance of giving you 10 hero shards during the recruitment itself. It’s quite possible that you won’t need to reach 200 to get your Wish Hero, and you’ll be able to enjoy your new hero sooner and use the upcoming shards directly for upgrading.
